Andrew Adam is Director Operations, for DP World, ANZ Region.

Andrew brings more than 25 years senior level management experience from the mining and stevedoring industries both in Australia and internationally.

Prior to entering the container terminal industry, Andrew spent over 10 years in the Australian coal mining industry in various senior management positions.

Andrew joined the company in 1999 and has held senior roles managing container terminals in Sydney and Fremantle. He was appointed Director of Operations in 2006, responsible for DP World’s network of Australian container terminals.

In 2007, Andrew was promoted to the role of Senior Vice President, Global Operations for DP World in Dubai. He spent four years leading a global team responsible for the optimisation of container terminal operations and engineering. He was also responsible for implementing the company’s global safety, environment and security strategy.

Andrew returned to Australia in late 2011 in the role of Director Operations for DP World, ANZ region. Bringing with him a wealth of experience in emerging global container terminal management practices, Andrew is responsible for driving and aligning the company’s operations strategy across the entire region.

Andrew holds a degree in Economics, and a certification in Container Terminal Management.
