Dr. Rahmah is a distinguished information technology professional with a global footprint in the dynamic logistics and supply chain industry. As the Group Senior Vice President of Ports and Terminals Systems, he stands at the forefront of a global revolution, driving the transformation of ports across the world with cutting-edge solutions.
Dr. Rahmah's remarkable journey is marked by his profound expertise in a multitude of areas, including AI, IoT, IT Service Management, Project Management, and IT Management. His specialized knowledge in ports and terminal technologies, particularly in the realm of digital twin solutions, has empowered him to successfully streamline and optimize port and terminal operations on a global scale.
What sets Dr. Rahmah apart is his deep understanding of advanced features that can greatly enhance the efficiency and productivity of terminals. He has dedicated his career to harnessing these cutting-edge capabilities, ensuring they bring substantial benefits to terminals, ultimately improving their productivity and performance.
Armed with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business/Managerial Economics, Dr. Rahmah is passionate about sharing his wealth of knowledge and insights regarding the latest trends and best practices in the industry. Currently, he is steering the modernization of ports and terminals technologies at DP World, charting a transformative path for future generations.
Andy Tam, Global Director of Energy Management & Decarbonization, Global Automation, DP World
Andy has spent the last year developing and executing the decarbonization strategy for DP World, which is a one of the largest port operators in the world. Prior to joining DP World, Andy was a strategy consultant with Navigant/ Guidehouse (a Veritas Capital PE company) for over 10 years within the Energy, Sustainability and Infrastructure practice across North America, the Middle East and Asia. His experience spans projects with generation/transmission/distribution utilities, regulators, and various other public/private sector entities.
Within these engagements, Andy has focused on providing technical and strategic advisory on the intersection between grid modernization (sustainability, microgrids, smart grids, distributed energy resources, IT/OT systems) and utility financial modeling (business cases,
working capital, cost of service, revenue requirement, asset management, M&A due diligence / valuation) from both an electric and water / wastewater perspective. Andy’s work with DP World also brings unique insight into decarbonization for ports & terminals, logistics, marine services and freezone operations.
Prior to joining Navigant / Guidehouse, Andy worked at Hydro One (TSX.H, market cap >$22B), one of Canada’s largest utilities, completing a two-year leadership rotation program where he worked on utility financial modeling, business planning, regulatory risk assessments, procurement/contract management and business process optimization. Andy has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering, Bachelor of Economics and an MBA from leading Canadian institutions.
